Celebrity Recipes

Find out which cheesecakes all your favorite celebrities like to eat!

Who out there would like to see some celebrity recipes for cheesecakes? I know you might not want to admit it but I'll bet you are obsessed with a certain celebrity (or maybe more that one!) I think everyone to some degree has an interest in the lives of famous people.

I thought it would be fun to try contacting celebrities and asking them to send me their favorite cheesecake recipes. I don't know how much luck I am going to have but I figured it was worth giving it a shot!

If there are any celebrities checking out my site, or even if you just think you are a celebrity, please submit a celebrity recipe to me and any picture or information you would like to have included with the recipe.

For this category, I welcome submissions from TV/movie stars, singers, newscasters, authors, athletes/sports figures, politicians, etc. Please dig out those favorite celebrity recipes and send them in so I can get them included for everyone to enjoy!

Many thanks to Jennette Fulda for the first submission to the celebrity recipes section of my website!

I just got an e-mail from Debbie Phelps, Michael's mom. She told me that when she has time, she makes a New York Style Cheesecake which Michael enjoys. She makes it special by topping it with either strawberries or cherries. Keep checking back because Debbie said that she would send along her cheesecake recipe soon. In the meantime, if you're craving the rich, decadent taste of a New York Cheesecake, check out my recipe.

Michael Phelps made history last year by winning eight gold medals and setting seven world records at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In 2007 he won seven gold medals and shattered five world records at the 2007 FINA World Championships in Australia. He is a 26 time World Record holder, a 17 time World Champion, five time gold medalist and silver medal recipient at the 2005 World Championships. He won six gold medals and two silver medals at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He is the first Olympian since 1980 to win eight gold medals in a single Olympics and is a three time USA Swimmer of the Year. He was named the 2003 World Championships Swimmer of the Meet after winning six medals and breaking five world records. At the age of 15 he became the youngest male world record holder in modern history. At age 16 he became the youngest American male swimmer to turn pro. In addition to all of the above, he has had many other great honors, recognitions and achievements.

Michael established the Michael Phelps Foundation (a non-profit organization) in 2008. The Foundation's mission is to encourage children to lead healthy, active lives and to continue to grow the sport of swimming.

Michael is the National Spokesman for Boys and Girls Clubs of America. He is an Honorary Board Member of the Boys and Girls Club of Harford County, MD. He has been involved with Special Olympics International, the Make-a-Wish Foundation and Pathfinders for Autism.

Many thanks to Debbie and Michael!

I got a reply from Michael's mom and the recipe she uses is the New York Style Cheesecake Recipe from the Joy Of Cooking.com.

Vick Bullett is a former professional basketball player and Olympic athlete. During her professional career she played for the Charlotte Sting and Washington Mystics in the WNBA as well as for professional teams in South America and Europe. She was on two Olympic basketball teams... the 1988 team where she won a gold medal and the 1992 where she received a bronze medal. She was also on the USA Select Team and in 1990 was a member of the US team for the Goodwill Games. When Vicky eats cheesecake, she prefers New York Style Cheesecake.

Thank You Vicky!

Jennette Fulda entered this world at 8 pounds 5 ounces, but came close to leaving it a 372 pounds before she lost half her weight. Her story is covered in her book "Half-Assed: A Weight-Loss Memoir" and her blog, www.pastaqueen.com. Jennette found this recipe for Italian Style Crustless Cheesecake online while searching for low-carb desserts. By eliminating the crust, you cut out most of the carbs and calories.

Thank You Jennette!
