Cheesecake Factory Review

We wanted it, we needed it, we deserved it!

Cheesecake Factory Review

We decided that a piece of Cheesecake Factory cheesecake would be the perfect way to end our day in Washington. I decided to do a Cheesecake Factory review after my friend suggested it. Since we had never eaten at one before, she thought that a review might be interesting to do so we can compare it to any other Cheesecake Factory we may try at another time.

After a day of walking all over Washington, D.C., my friends and I not only wanted and needed a piece of cheesecake, but felt we deserved it.

The restaurant on Wisconsin Avenue was pleasantly decorated and had not only a downstairs dining area with a bar, but also an upstairs seating area. We asked which they suggested and we were told that we might like the upstairs area better. We were sent upstairs where we were seated in a large booth at the window which overlooked the street outside.

We must have arrived at change of shift because our server changed after making our drink order. The menu was much larger than we had expected and it took us a few minutes to decide on what we wanted to eat. We couldn't help but check out the selection of cheesecakes and desserts available and start planning the finale to our meal before we even decided on what we were going to eat. One thing to keep in mind when eating at the Cheesecake Factory is that the portions are large. I think if I go again, I might go for a small salad or an appetizer rather than a heavy meal so that I could better enjoy a slice of the Cheesecake Factory cheesecake.

On this trip I had a sandwich called the Navajo which was a grilled chicken breast with lettuce, onions, guacamole and mayonnaise on fry bread with a side of french fries. My friend had the same thing while her husband opted for teriyaki chicken. Because we wanted to have the cheesecake, we all left some on our plates because we were rapidly becoming full.

For dessert I chose the Banana Cheesecake, my friend had the Carrot Cake Cheesecake and her husband had the Tiramasu Cheesecake. We each were only able to eat about half and decided to take the rest home to enjoy at another time. Because my husband was unable to join us, I ordered a piece of Peanut Butter Fudge Ripple Cheesecake to take home for him.

The staff at the restaurant was friendly but a little on the slow side. Because we had been given a booth overlooking the street, we enjoyed watching the people walking by as we waited for our food.

There is a parking garage next door to the restaurant where we parked and when we asked if they would validate the parking, we were told that they validate for up to two hours. This was actually not quite true because when we exited the garage, they only gave a discount on the amount and not the full amount off like we were told in the restaurant.

Overall we had a good experience and would go to another Cheesecake Factory if given the chance. Like I said before, because of the portion sizes, it might actually be a better choice to go for the cheesecake next time instead of a meal because it was hard to enjoy the dessert after filling up on the other food.

My friend mentioned our trip to a co-worker who said that she has been to a Cheesecake Factory several times and has never had the cheesecake because she is always too full after eating her meal!
