Chocolate Cheesecake
by: Debbie

Hi Nina,

If you're looking for a plain chocolate cheesecake, you may want to look on my chocolate cheesecake page. Under chocolate cheesecakes is a recipe for Rich Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake. This is a plain chocolate cheesecake and there are others listed that have various ingredients in addition to chocolate for added flavor.

I have attached the recipe here for you to look at and see if it's something you may like to try.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

Rich Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake

Crust:

1 1/2 cups crushed oreo cookies

2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine

Combine crumbs and butter and press into the bottom of a 9 inch springform pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes and allow to cool while preparing filling.

Filling:

3 packages cream cheese, softened

8 squares semi-sweet baking chocolate melted and slightly cooled

3 eggs

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with an electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add melted chocolate and blend. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing on slow speed just until blended. Pour over cooled crust.

Bake at 325 degrees for 55-60 minutes or until center is almost set. Run a sharp knife around the rim of the pan to loosen the cake but don't remove the rim until cool. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.

Serves 12
