Chocolate Pretzel Cheesecake Recipe
Chocolate Pretzel Cheesecake Recipe Crust:
2 and 1/2 cups crushed butter flavored pretzels
1/2 cup melted butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine the crushed pretzels,butter and brown sugar and press onto the bottom and up the sides of a 9X9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes and then set aside to cool.
Filling: 2 (8 ounce) packages of cream cheese, softened 1 cup granulated sugar 2 teaspoons lemon juice 1 cup whipping cream 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup hot fudge topping and reserve some for topping Additional butter flavored pretzels for garnish With electric mixer, combine the cream cheese and sugar until well blended. Blend in the lemon juice. In another bowl, beat the whipping cream and vanilla until fluffy. Blend into the cream cheese mixture. Microwave the hot fudge topping on high until warm and melted, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Pour the melted hot fudge over the pretzel crust and then top with the cream cheese mixture. Top with coarsely chopped butter pretzels and additional melted hot fudge sauce. Refrigerate for 4 hours before serving. Serves 12.
