Re: Decadent Caramel Topped ToffeeCheesecake

Did you forget to change the temp?

You say to preheat to 350 degrees..then bake for 1 1/2 hours....this burns it and drys it out!

Other recipes say to turn it down after about 15 min to 250 degrees...

Let me know if this is what is called for in this recipe....other than it being burnt crisp on top - it seems like a really good recipe.

Leanne:

Thanks so much for finding the mistake. It should read 350 degrees for 1 and 1/4 hours or until set, not 1 and 1/2 hours. I've gone back and corrected it on the web site. Thanks again for contacting me so I could fix the error.

Hello,

it's Wendy from SBI, I just had to tell you, I absolutely love your website! I wasn't sure if you would read the reply I wrote to my post so I figured I would contact you. I love cheesecakeand I am going to sign up for your newsletter.

Is there a way (on your site) to search for a specific cheesecake?

Larry:

Thank you so much for your question. Up until you asked, I didn't have a way to search other than going to each category and looking up the cheesecake recipes that way.

After you submitted on my Contact Me page, I placed a search box on my home page and I also created a cheesecake recipe search page and you can now search for cheesecake recipes through one of those two ways.

I really appreciate your question because it showed me that I didn't have something available that might be of use when searching for a cheesecake recipe.

Imagine my happiness when I spied that you were kind enough to provide a recipe for my grasshopper cheesecake! Unfortunately for me, I am unable to locate some of the ingredients to make this luscious creation. It makes me very sad. Thank you for your very good effort. You are very talented and very super!

Rujuan:

I'm so sorry you weren't able to make the cheesecake. I was very excited to find a grasshopper cheesecake recipe that I thought you might be able to use but I didn't know if you could find the ingredients or not.

Hopefully the ingredients you are missing will be available at some time. What can't you locate? Maybe there is a substitute that you could use or maybe the ingredients could be ordered off the internet.

Good luck!

Hello!

I was trying to come up with a way to incorporate fresh peaches in my cheesecake and wanted to know if you have ever just mixed it with the filling in chopped fresh pieces? I am unsure if that would come out tasty or not, and wanted your advice. Thanks so much!

Ashley:

I actually have a recipe for a delicious sounding peach cheesecake that I haven't posted yet. It includes chunks of fresh peaches in the batter before baking and calls for optional peach flavor to be added.

I plan on adding it to my next newsletter, Cheesecake Chatter, which should be out in the beginning of July. I hope you subscribe to the newsletter not only for that recipe but others as well.
