Greek Cheesecake Recipe

Greek Cheesecake Recipe Ingredients:

3 (8 ounce) packages of cream cheese, softened

3 eggs at room temperature

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons flour

1/2 cup plain yogurt

1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line the bottom of a 9 inch spring form pan with wax paper and then spray the wax paper and sides of the pan with non-stick spray.

With electric mixer on medium speed, combine the cream cheese, sugar and flour until well blended. Add the eggs one at a time and mix well after each addition. Blend in the yogurt and the lemon peel and pour into the prepared pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes and then remove from the oven. Loosen the cake from the pan with a sharp knife but don't remove the rim. Cool to room temperature and then refrigerate for several hours.

Topping

1/3 cup honey

1 tablespoon butter

Bring the honey and butter to a boil over medium heat in a small saucepan. Stir constantly. Boil for one minute and then cool to spreading consistency.

Spread this over the chilled cake after the rim has been removed.

Serves 12 for dessert.
