No Cream-cheese....cheese cake :)???

by Baneen
(Streamwood, IL)

Hi...My sister has a small home based bakery...she usually does regular cakes....but she hasn't done any cheese cakes yet...primarily because most of them call for a good amount of cream-cheese...and according to her it;s not cost effective for her. So shes looking for a recipe that really is from scratch....using milk...and not ready made cream cheese so she can cut the cost yet still be able to provide quality cheese cake to her customers (who've been pressurizing her of late to take cheese cake orders too :)

So if any one has a recipe that calls for milk...or may be even cottage cheese...please let me know! My sister and I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!

Baneen,

There are recipes available that call for Ricotta and some may even use yogurt but I've never tried them, so I really don't know how they would turn out.

I would like to say though, that cheesecakes are usually expensive but people are usually more than willing to pay for a good quality cheesecake. Therefore, your sister may want to give them a try just to see how it goes. She can always stop making them if it doesn't work out for her.

I want to wish her the best of luck.
